Keith McDonald

On July 6, 2000 McDonald stroked his second homer in as many major-league at-bats, making him the first National Leaguer and second major-leaguer to ever accomplish the feat (Bob Nieman did it for the St. Louis Browns on September 14, 1951). Originally called up to replace the injured Eli Marrero, McDonald batted .429 in six games with the St. Louis Cardinals before Marrero returned and McDonald was sent back down. He returned the following season as a September call-up, but went hitless in his only two at-bats.
