Bobby Meacham

A highly thought-of switch-hitter in the Yankee organization for years, Meacham was the everyday shortstop only in 1985. Injuries and inconsistent overall play relegated him to utility play and time in the minors. Meacham hit just .218 in 1985 and led the major leagues with 23 sacrifice hits. He was traded to the Rangers for Bob Brower before the 1989 season, but was cut by Texas.
