Bob Milliken

A reliever and spot starter, Milliken contributed an 8-4 mark toward the Dodgers’ 1953 NL pennant in his rookie season. He had made the team, at the age of twenty-seven, with a great spring training. He had almost come up in 1950 off a 12-5, 2.65 record for Fort Worth in 1949, but he missed the whole season after injuring his arm and spent the next two years in the army. His arm problems returned in 1954. Milliken was a Cardinals coach, 1965-70.
