Puerto Rico’s Jerry Morales was taken from the Mets organization by the Padres in the 1968 expansion draft, but had his most productive seasons with the Cubs, 1974-77. He had career highs of 91 RBI in 1975, 16 homers in 1976, and a .290 average in 1977, his All-Star year.
