Johnny Moore

Lefthanded-batting Johnny Moore was a satisfactory fielder who hit wherever he went. In Chicago, he competed with .336 hitter Riggs Stephenson and Hall of Famers Hack Wilson and Kiki Cuyler before securing a job when Wilson was traded in 1932; he batted .305 that pennant-winning season. He reached a high of .330 with the Reds and Phillies in 1934 and played ten years in the Pacific Coast League – all with Los Angeles – hitting .326.
