Greg Cadaret

An effective southpaw set-up man for the pennant-winning 1988 A’s, Cadaret was moved to the starting rotation after Oakland traded him in June 1989, along with Eric Plunk and Luis Polonia, to the Yankees in exchange for Rickey Henderson. Although Cadaret enjoyed some success in that role (four complete games and two shutouts in 35 career starts) he remained primarily a reliever and did not start a game following his three-and-a-half seasons in New York. After the Yankees sent him to Cincinnati in November 1992 for cash considerations, he spent his final four seasons playing for six different teams, bouncing from the Reds to the Royals to the Blue Jays to the Tigers to the Angels and finally to the Rangers, where he finished his career in 1998.
