Although he hit over .300 three times with the Braves, Clark had no home run power and never played more than 84 games in a season. He suffered a broken hand on Opening Day 1929, but on May 10 of that year he set the ML record for most outfield chances accepted in a nine-inning game with 12 putouts and one assist.
