Ed Correa

First signed out of Puerto Rico by the White Sox, Correa, at age 20, was the youngest player in the AL as a Rangers rookie in 1986. He went 12-14 with a team-high 189 strikeouts, but a severe shoulder injury ended his 1987 season in July. A Seventh Day Adventist, Correa balked at pitching on Friday nights or Saturday afternoons.
