Larry Napp

Napp served as the assistant supervisor of AL umpires following 24 years as an ump. When he called a strike, his leg would come up as fast as his arm. He worked two perfect games; he was at third base when Don Larsen threw his WS perfect game in 1956 and at first base when Catfish Hunter pitched his in 1968. The judo expert also worked as both a boxing instructor and referee.
