Dwayne Henry

Henry looked promising in his 1985 call-up, when he was 2-2 with three saves and a 2.57 ERA. But after an injury interrupted his 1986 season, his ERA ballooned and it became clear his days with the Rangers were numbered. Henry’s best seasons came as a middle reliever for the Astros in 1991 and Reds in 1992. Perhaps it was due to more protein in his diet — in 1992, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Henry had downed a 33-ounce steak, four oysters, three clams, three pieces of bread and two glasses of water in an epic dinner with teammate Jose Rijo.
