Pilo Gaspar

Gaspar caught a record 2,291 minor league games. He hit 44 homers for Laredo (Rio Grande Valley League) in 1950-51, but had only 29 more in the 15 seasons that followed. Though Mexican-born, he didn’t play professionally in Mexico until age 28. He batted as high as .330 with Vera Cruz, and caught regularly until age 44.
