Len Gabrielson

Gabrielson got a $75,000 bonus to sign with the Braves in 1960. He had fair power but never won an everyday job. He played the most in 1965, when he hit a career-high .293 for the Cubs and Giants. He was a below-average outfielder. Used often as a pinch hitter, his best season in that role was 1969 (13-for-36) for the Dodgers. He is the son of Len Gabrielson, who played first base in five games for the 1939 Athletics.
