Mike Griffin

In 1887, playing centerfield for Baltimore of the American Association, Griffin stole 94 bases to set a ML rookie record that stood until Vince Coleman stole 110 in 1985. In 1889 he led the AA in runs scored. He led the NL in doubles in 1891, his first season in CF for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms (later called the Dodgers), where he remained through 1898. He retired with 473 stolen bases.
