Wish Egan

Egan was 6-15, 3.58 as a starter for the Cardinals in 1905 before an arm injury ended his playing career. He signed on to scout for Detroit in 1910, and remained with the Tigers until 1950, sometimes doubling as a coach. His discoveries included Hal Hewhouser, Dizzy Trout, and Hoot Evers, and it was at his insistence that the Tigers traded Barney McCosky for George Kell in 1946.
