Red Embree

The red-haired Embree pitched in 20 games for the Indians before retiring to become a farmer in 1943. He returned to lead the International League with 19 wins in ’44, and rejoined the Tribe rotation to win eight games in each of 1946 and ’47. His only winning record came with the 1948 Yankees, when he went 5-3 as a spot starter and reliever.
