Bill Fahey

Always a backup catcher, Fahey saw his most action sharing duty with Gene Tenace for the Padres in 1979-80. In 1980 Fahey had career highs of 93 games and 22 RBI. The Detroit native then finished his career backing up Lance Parrish on the Tigers. The 1978 gap in his ML career came after he was called up by the Rangers but spent the rest of the season on the DL.
