With Spokane of the Pacific Coast League in 1967, the Dodger bonus-baby pitched 1-0 no-hitters in consecutive appearances against Seattle and was tabbed “can’t miss.” After failure with the Dodgers and a trip to the AL, he had his most successful season with St. Louis in 1973 (13-9, 3.14).
