Harold Parrott

A graduate of St. John’s, Parrott wrote for the Brooklyn Eagle until the Dodgers hired him as their traveling secretary in 1943. Later the ticket manager, he was director of promotion and publicity for the club when it moved to Los Angeles. Parrott went west with them and later worked for Seattle, San Diego, and the Angels. He also wrote magazine articles and was sometimes a Sporting News correspondent. In 1976 he wrote a book, The Lords of Baseball, about his experiences as a baseball executive.
