Wright pitched back-to-back no-hitters for Dayton (Western Association) in 1901. In 1902 he rejoined Cleveland manager Bill Armour, who had Wright at Dayton. But the Cleveland native went 7-11 with a 3.95 ERA and declined further thereafter.
