Mike Young

A strikeout-prone switch-hitter, Young was red hot in August 1985, hitting 11 HR with an Orioles one-month record 32 RBI on his way to his best professional season, .273 with 28 HR and 81 RBI. Young cooled considerably in 1986, hitting just nine home runs, and after hitting .240 in 1987 he was traded to Philadelphia in 1988, where he struggled for half a season as an outfielder-pinch hitter. On May 28, 1987, he became only the fifth player in ML history to hit two extra-inning home runs in the same game, homering in the 10th to tie the score, and again in the 12th to beat the Angels.
