Tim Wallach

Wallach became Montreal’s third baseman when Larry Parrish was traded to Texas. Wallach tied for the most RBI by a third baseman in 1982 and set Expos’ sophomore records in homers (28) and RBI (97). He led NL third basemen in putouts three straight years (1983-85) and assists, total chances, and double plays in 1984 and 1985. The Gold Glove fielder had a career batting season in 1987. Taking over the cleanup spot from injured Hubie Brooks, Wallach set a club record with 123 RBI and led the NL with 42 doubles. He is among Montreal’s all-time leaders in homers, doubles, and RBI.
