Malachi Kittredge

Kittredge caught for the Chicago NL team through most of the 1890s. Although he was a poor hitter, he was steady and reliable behind the plate and an accurate thrower. In 1904 he was made manager of the hapless Washington Senators, but after the team led off the season at 1-16, he relinquished the reins to Patsy Donovan.
