Dave Koslo

After spending 1943-45 in the military, Koslo returned to the Giants in ’46 to lead the NL with 19 losses, 35 starts, and 251 hits allowed. In 1949, he became the only pitcher to lead the league in ERA (2.50) without recording a shutout. Koslo beat the Yankees, 5-1, in the 1951 World Series opener, but lost the sixth and final game 4-3.
