Craig Reynolds

Reynolds was an AL All-Star in his second full ML season, hitting .292 as the Mariners shortstop in 1978. An off-season trade sent him to Houston in exchange for pitcher Floyd Bannister, and Reynolds started at shortstop for the Astros until Dickie Thon emerged in 1982, and again from 1984 to 1987 after Thon’s career was nearly ended by a beaning. In 1981 Reynolds led the NL with 12 triples, including an ML-record 3 in one game on May 16.
