Scott Sanderson

A lanky NL starter for over a decade, Sanderson was pitching for the Expos in only his second professional season, and in 1980 was 16-11 with a 3.11 ERA. He was traded to the Padres for Gary Lucas on December 7, 1983, and the Padres dealt him to the Cubs the same day, for Carmelo Martinez, Craig Lefferts and Fritz Connally. Sanderson has struggled in Chicago, often battling injuries and never winning more than nine games in a season.
