Ted Savage

His speed and power made eight big league teams give this 6’1″ 185-lb righthanded hitter a chance. Only in his rookie year with the Phillies in 1962 was he a regular, because he never became a consistent hitter. His best season came with the 1970 Brewers, when he had career highs of 12 HR, 50 RBI, and a .279 average in 274 at-bats.
