Charley Smith

A steady third baseman, Charley Smith led the 1964 Mets with 20 HR. He was sent with Al Jackson to the Cardinals after the 1965 season for 1964 MVP Ken Boyer, and the following winter was traded to the Yankees for an aging Roger Maris. When he pinch hit for the Cubs in two 1969 games, Smith became the first player to appear with both New York and both Chicago teams (the only other is Dick Tidrow).
