Bill Sweeney

After switching to the heaviest bat in the league in midcareer, Sweeney hit in 31 consecutive games in 1911, and in 1912 his .344 average was third in the NL. A regular infielder at three different positions for the Braves from 1908 to 1913, he was traded back to the Cubs for Johnny Evers before the Braves’ 1914 World Championship season.
