The son of Jim Bagby Sr., this 6’2″ 170-lb right-hander reached his career high of 17 wins in each of his All-Star years (1942-43). He led the AL in starts both years, but he missed much of 1944 in the Merchant Marine and thereafter never won more than eight games.
