Tom Brown

When Brown reached England as one of the players on the 1888-89 World Tour, it was a homecoming for the Liverpool-born outfielder. A fleet ball hawk and base stealer, he usually batted leadoff although he led his league in striking out five times. In 1891 with Boston, he topped the American Association with 106 stolen bases and 177 runs scored.
