John Henry Johnson

After coming from the Giants to Oakland in a seven-for-one trade for Vida Blue in 1978, the rookie Johnson went 11-10 to lead the A’s in wins. Possessing a fine fastball and little else, he was 2-8 the following June when he was sent to the Rangers. He played out his ML career in middle relief. Pitching for Hawaii (Pacific Coast League) on May 2, 1985, he no-hit Calgary.
