Larkin surpassed all of Lou Gehrig‘s school batting records as a switch-hitting third baseman at Columbia, and never hit below .302 in the minors. The line-drive hitter splits his time between DH and first base, where he backs up Kent Hrbek. Larkin was hit by 15 pitches in 1988 to lead the AL.
