Don Lock

The Senators traded the aging Dale Long for Lock before he had played a single ML game, and six days later Lock homered in his debut to give Washington a 1-0 win over Chicago. Always a home run threat when he made contact, Lock was plagued by strikeouts, fanning once every four plate appearances. He hit 27 and 28 HR in 1963-64 but also struck out 151 and 137 times.
