Alfredo Ortiz

Ortiz is believed to have won over 300 games between the Mexican and Mexican Central leagues, but his 1985 statistics were lost in the Mexico earthquake. After breaking in with Leon, Ortiz won 19 games for Fresnillo in 1962, then pitched 17 years with the Mexico City Reds, where he and Ramon Arano, the only other 300-game winner in Mexico, teamed from 1963 to 1971. Ortiz peaked at 23-9 in 1969. He finished up with Veracruz, following four years with Tabasco and one with Nuevo Laredo.
