Bill Reidy

Reidy was the ace of the last-place Brewers’ staff in the AL’s inaugural 1901 season, going 16-20 with a 4.21 ERA. The club moved to St. Louis for 1902, and Reidy slipped to 4.45. With Brooklyn in 1904 he attempted to prolong his career by moving to second base (five games) but hit only .156 that year, worse than when he was a full-time pitcher.
