Bill Voiselle

Big Bill was 6’4″, lived in Ninety Six, South Carolina, and wore #96, at that time the highest number ever in the major leagues. In his only winning season, as a rookie with the 1944 Giants, he went 21-16, leading the NL with 41 starts, 312 2/3 innings pitched, and 161 strikeouts. He went 13-13 for the 1948 Braves and lost the last game of the World Series to the Indians.
