Bob Anderson

Anderson was the number-two man in the Cubs’ rotation in 1959 (12-13, 4.13) and 1960 (9-11, 4.11). Moved to the bullpen by Chicago’s “College of Coaches” in 1961, he was less effective. Traded to Detroit for Steve Boros after the 1962 season, he had his only winning record in 1963, his final year, going 3-1 in limited relief use. Traded to Kansas City in the Rocky Colavito deal that winter, he never made it back to the majors.
