Bob Brower

Brower showed great promise in 1987, when he hit .261 with 14 HR as a part-time outfielder with Texas, but he dropped off to .224 with 1 HR in 1988 after starting the season on the DL. He replaced the injured Dave Winfield in the Yankee outfield in 1989, but erratic fielding and the acquisition of Jesse Barfield relegated Brower to Columbus.
