Meyer was wild, leading more than one minor league in hit batsmen and wild pitches. He worked for three AL clubs in 1964, and lost his best-pitched game that September 12, a one-hitter for Kansas City against Baltimore. Frank Bertaina also threw a one-hitter, beating him 1-0.
