Bob Sadowski

Bob Sadowski was the youngest of three Pittsburgh-born brothers to play in the major leagues; Ted pitched for the Senators and Twins in 1960-62, and Eddie caught for the Red Sox, Angels, and Braves in 1960-63 and 1966. Bob came through the Cardinal organization but debuted with the Braves after a 1963 trade that sent Lew Burdette to St. Louis. He tied a ML record on April 20, 1964 when he was struck out five times in a nine-inning game. On April 15, 1965, he pitched the Braves final home opener in Milwaukee, defeating Pittsburgh 5-1.
