Bump Wills

Bump Wills didn’t have the success of his father Maury, but he was a fine-fielding second baseman who hit enough to be useful. He also stole 196 bases in his career at a 75% success rate, slightly better than his father’s ratio, and reached a career-high of 52 in 1978. Bump led the AL twice each in putouts, assists, and total chances per game. He was consistent offensively and scored a career-high 102 runs in 1980.
