Charlie Cozart

Making his big-league debut on the same day as Red Schoendienst — Opening Day, 1945 — Cozart appeared in five games in his only season with the Boston Braves. He managed seven assists from the mound in his eight-inning career.

The 1945 National League Green Book wrote that “Cozy is a “hard” man all the way, lives in Granite Falls, works winters paring cast iron in a foundry, uses high hard ones for moaning effects from batters.”
