Chico Salmon

Salmon was the utility man for the 1964-68 Indians and the 1969-71 pennant-winning Orioles. In between, he was drafted by the expansion Pilots and traded to Baltimore. For five straight seasons, the Panamanian played every infield position and the outfield. In his only World Series at-bat, in Game Two of the 1970 classic, Salmon’s fifth-inning pinch-hit single started the Orioles’ game-winning five-run rally.
