Chuck Hinton

Grabbed from Baltimore by Washington in the 1960 expansion draft, the graceful Hinton became a regular outfielder and infield fill-in for the Senators. He had an excellent 1962 season (.310, 17 HR, 75 RBI, 28 steals) and was an All-Star in 1964. Traded to Cleveland for Woody Held and Bob Chance, Hinton played six years for the Indians, interrupted by one disappointing season (.195) with California in 1968. Nominally an outfielder/first EI x x baseman, the versatile Hinton played every defensive position during his ML career.
