Craig Swan

Swan won the 1978 NL ERA title (2.43) despite missing a month with gastroenteritis, recording just nine victories for the Mets. After winning a career-high 14 in 1979, he signed a five-year contract – at the time the most lucrative in Met history. A rotator cuff tear in 1980 took away his fastball, and an arm injury in 1983 curtailed his career.
