Morehead was 19 when he shut out the Senators in his major league debut with Boston on April 13, 1963. He tied for the league lead with 18 losses in 1965, but on September 16 he pitched a no-hitter against Cleveland, allowing just one walk. He won only 12 games from 1966 through 1970, but he did contribute five victories to the 1967 AL champion Red Sox.
