Dickie Noles

Noles was ineffective both as a starter and in relief for five different teams in his nine ML seasons, and was hurt as much by his problems with alcohol as he was by opposing batters. He pitched well in the WS for the Phillies in 1980, allowing only one run to the Royals in Game Four after starter Larry Christenson was knocked out in the first inning, and in 1982 he won a career-high 10 games for the Cubs.
