Don Hurst

This strong lefthanded hitter came into the majors when offense was at its peak. In four of his first five years with the Phillies, he batted over .300. In 1932, his best all-around season, he hit .339 with 24 HR, and led the NL with 143 RBI. Traded to the Cubs during the 1934 season, he failed to hit, and his ML career ended.
