Ward shared stopper duties with Tom Henke in the Blue Jays bullpen in 1988 and 1989, and picked up wins as a middle reliever (9-3 in 1988). A wild, hard thrower, he was the Braves first-round pick in the June 1982 draft and was traded for Doyle Alexander in July 1986.
