Eric Soderholm

The Twins number-one draft pick in 1968, Soderholm homered in his second major-league at-bat in 1971 but struggled for three seasons until he became a steady hitter and fielder for Minnesota. He missed the entire 1976 season when his torn-up left knee required two operations. In 1977, after signing with the White Sox as a free agent, he was AL Comeback Player of the Year, hitting .280 with career highs of 25 home runs and 67 RBI.
